I am a Professional Musician performing on Saxophone, a Band leader and a Private Instructor for Saxophone and Clarinet.

 - For the past 15 years I've headed my own Jazz groups  under the  names of: Frank Zona & Urban Edge and Frank Zona Jazz Quartet, performing at major music venues and festivals in the Southwest. My band has recently opened for the Grammy winning group, Ozomatli.

I released two albums: Frank Zona & Urban Edge (LIVE!), and Frank Zona & Urban Edge, "Over The Edge", which gets radio airplay locally and internationally on Internet Radio Station, Swiss Groove.

 - I'm also a private instructor for Saxophone and Clarinet with an active studio.

 - I began studying Saxophone and Clarinet with NY Jazz legend and band leader, Joe Manzone.  Later, I studied with Dr. Ralph Athey, woodwind professor, University of Illinois and The Dick Grove School of Music.

Prior to leading my own group, my sideman credits included performing in many styles: Rock, R&B, Blues , Country and Jazz, and along the way opening for James Brown, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and The Grass Roots.

I've also shared the stage with Contemporary Jazz Icons: Dave Koz, Candy Dulfer, Richard Elliot and Najee.
